Picture a sales team in Business Bay. Inside, the office is cooled to 21°C. At lunchtime they walk to a client meeting across the road in 44°C heat, then sit in a car that’s been parked in the sun. Their uniform has to look sharp in all three places. That’s the real brief for corporate uniforms in Dubai, and it’s why fabric choices that work in London or even Mumbai don’t always translate. M10 Uniforms has been making uniforms since 1998 and supplies corporate teams in Dubai and across the UAE, alongside clients in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. This guide covers what HR and admin teams should think about when planning corporate uniforms in Dubai, from fabric and modesty to rollout and reorders.
Heat changes everything about fabric
In Dubai, the biggest fabric question isn’t how a uniform looks. It’s how it feels at 3pm in July.
Lightweight, breathable weaves are the starting point. Poly-cotton shirting stays crisp through a long day and dries quickly, while a small stretch content helps people who spend hours sitting or driving. For jackets, an unlined or half-lined construction keeps staff far more comfortable than a fully lined winter-weight suit.
Colour matters too. Dark shades absorb heat and show sweat marks less, light shades stay cooler but show stains faster. Many companies split the difference: a mid-tone like slate grey or soft navy for trousers and skirts, paired with lighter shirts.
Respecting a diverse, multinational workforce
Most UAE offices employ people from dozens of countries. A good uniform programme accounts for that from day one.
That means offering both fitted and relaxed cuts, longer sleeve and hem options for staff who prefer modest dress, and a size range that genuinely runs from petite to plus. It’s also worth checking whether any team members wear an abaya or headscarf, so the uniform colours and accessories can work alongside them. These aren’t extras. Staff who feel comfortable in their uniform actually wear it properly.
Professional uniforms or casual uniforms? Usually both
With corporate uniforms in Dubai, one of the most common mistakes is forcing every department into the same outfit. A receptionist and a field technician have completely different days.
Professional uniforms with tailored blazers, formal shirts and structured trousers suit front-office, banking, real estate and client-facing roles. Casual uniforms such as branded polo shirts, chinos and lightweight jackets suit operations, logistics, retail floors and events. Both can carry the same colours and logo, so the brand still looks unified.
Here’s a split that works well for many Dubai companies:
- Leadership and client-facing staff: blazer, formal shirt, tailored trousers or skirt
- Office support teams: formal shirt or blouse, no jacket required
- Field and operations staff: polo shirt, cargo or chino trousers, cap
- Event and promotions teams: branded T-shirt or polo in a brighter accent colour

Planning the rollout, not just the uniform
Companies spend weeks choosing a design, then rush the rollout. That’s where most problems start.
Collect sizes properly, ideally with a physical size set that staff can try. Self-reported sizes are wrong surprisingly often. Plan for new joiners, because Dubai teams grow and turn over quickly, and you’ll need small top-up orders throughout the year. Agree on a reorder process with your supplier so a shirt ordered in March matches one ordered in October.
How many uniforms per person? Three sets is a practical minimum for staff who wear the uniform daily, given the heat and how often shirts need washing.
Getting staff to actually like their uniforms
The best corporate uniforms in Dubai are the ones employees helped choose. Before final sign-off, ask a small group from each department to wear the samples for a full working week, including the commute and any site visits. Their feedback on fit, pockets and fabric is worth more than any catalogue photo.
It also builds goodwill. People wear a uniform with more pride when they’ve had a say in it, and complaints after rollout drop sharply.
What to look for in uniform suppliers in Dubai
Plenty of uniform suppliers in Dubai can show you a catalogue. Fewer can show you where the garments are made and stand behind them a year later.
M10 Uniforms manufactures in its own factories in Bhilwara and Ludhiana, with around 150 machines and capacity for 1,500 to 2,000 pieces a day. Fabric comes only from established brands, and every garment carries a two-year, No Questions Asked replacement warranty covering stitching failure, cloth peeling and colour fastness. Orders start at 50 pieces per category, so a 30-person startup in Dubai Silicon Oasis and a large Abu Dhabi firm both get properly made corporate uniforms.
If you’re planning new corporate uniforms in Dubai or refreshing an outdated set, send us your team size, departments and brand guidelines. We’ll recommend fabrics suited to UAE conditions and share samples before production starts.
